Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School Photography & Art Auction for Pathstone Mental Health Niagara - May 4, 2017
Best Buy presented a $3000 grant to help Holy Cross start a photography program for special needs students. Teacher Catherine Chin-Yet (Gandola) saw how photography, particularly the forgiving digital kind, opened up ways for special needs students to be creative and discovered a technology grant offered by Best Buy. The proceeds, which were presented on March 29, allowed the school to purchase 10 Sony DSC H300 point and shoot cameras for the program. Holy Cross was one of 16 schools across the country to win.
